I just walked through the steps of bootcamp 6.0.1, downloaded the bootcamp support files, created the windows partition in bootcamp, inserted a dvd of the w10 x64 iso that i downloaded from ms and followed the procedures.. Bootcamp installation for "unsupported mac's" - w8 / w8.1 / w10 if you run windows 10 bootcamp backups, look at my postings in this thread how do deactivate applehfs.sys and how to get and install a working hfs+ driver. the applehfs.sys driver causes vss problems unter windows 10.. Windows 10 is simply too new for your mac, and windows 7 is too old. it's quite a predicament. if you really need windows, you would either need to obtain a copy of windows 8, or downgrade to an earlier version of os x with a boot camp version that supports windows 7..
This video will will teach you an easy method for "bootcamp" installing windows 10 on a older mac (pre-2012) that is not on apple's "officially supported" list of windows 10 installs.. These mac models support the 64-bit version of windows 10 home or pro edition installed with boot camp. use about this mac to find out which mac you have, then see if it's on this list:. macbook pro (2012 and later) macbook air (2012 and later). By modifying bootcamp, we can now install windows 10, 8, or 7! in this video, i will show you have to do just that and more! i will be using a 2009 macbook pro with an intel core 2 duo to dual.
